2 Object. Abstraction

It was a test of the boundaries of the painting. I wanted to see how the colour spots will interact and whether they will go beyond the limits of the flat picture. It is an exciting feeling when there are spots of colour in space. Here, for the first time, I perceived colour as a separate colour spot in three-dimensional space.

The stains remained flat (I used cardboard). They are as flat as spots on the canvas, only with the transparent lines they can make arbitrary movements. But at the same time, these spots of colour and shape, all the same, belong to this plane. Thus, the context in which the object is located will provide interpretation. Here the context is probably the picture on the wall. It says: "I have this spot, and you are such a spot, so you belong to me. I decide if the big orange spot can go beyond the picture and I combine all the elements."

Composition with coloured spots, 2020, acrylic, paints, frame, cardboard, wire, glue, fishing line, screws on canvas, 147 х 82 х 5 cm.
