“…try not to think of each element [course Projects, Parallel Project and Critical Review,] as separate from the other and seek to find connections to generate synergy between your practice and research interests.” (OCA Tutor)
Thanks for mentioning this. It has always been strange for me to divide my own practice into pieces, because it somehow happens in an avalanche, all at one time. Only then at the end, it is difficult to separate the snowflakes from the trees.
“…I have a particular interest in the relationship between sound and sculpture, so if this becomes a more prominent aspect of your work I can guide you towards further research resources etc.” (OCA Tutor)
Yes, music has always interested me. Especially in the aspect that I have no musical education at all and this is especially interesting for research. Pure perception without the laws of music. It may be worth considering this concept in light of my new idea - as unconscious, pure creativity. I have also been interested in theatre for a long time. That is, the combination of the human body, movement, sound and stage - where the viewer is aware that he is a viewer. It is also interesting to consider this issue from the point of view of catharsis, whether it can be in modern reality. I noticed that of all the arts, after the visual (colour, texture), I am especially impressed with symphonic music, choir (but not solo voice), modern dance, and literature (I'm not sure that I can reach the level of a native speaker in languages in order to fully experience all the charm of, for example, English or German, as I experience Russian).
“Please reflect on your learning at each assignment point with reference to each of the categories above, evaluating how your work meets these criteria.” (OCA Tutor)
OK. would do that, but I think we do have not the same criteria. Some of us have a different version of Learning Outcomes for HE5. But in any case, their main idea of them is not so much different.
“Overall, you are meeting these objectives and have shown a good understanding and awareness of the principal themes of this part.”(OCA Tutor)
How can I improve "good understanding" and take it to an "exceptional" level? What exactly do I need to do?
“The Fine Art department on OCA Learn lists some upcoming group work activities to support students' studies, have a look through and sign up for any upcoming events that may be of interest - this can be evidenced in your learning log and will complement your course work.” (OCA Tutor)
Thanks for this advice. I started attending monthly meetings at my HE5 level and "Keeping Up Momentum. Something missing?" sessions. There was only the first lecture and the first meeting of our group. I think in the next part of the course I will write about this in detail.
