Colouring the paper and think about the space and relationships between objects in my altar sounds like a great plan.
I tried to play with the paper shape. It turns out only to either simulate it wet or create a different approach to work.
Wet paper tears, so I have to work quickly until it is completely soft. And I also need to work very carefully and as if light, since it is easy to press too much and there will be no more volume.
I tried different combinations of paper and drawing, paper and stains. I applied the paper to the wood and continued to saw it.
I tried to imagine that paper is like a volumetric Matryoshkas, and there is a place with a plane cloth, here are other materials. Or I tried to imagine that I look on the table from the far above.
But I didn't feel the whole composition. It was necessary to work with the colour further, but it turned out that I can't change it because it would mean crashing the volume of paper.
There were a lot of objects on my Altar, and I could not focus.
So I just decided to work with the rose. And I felt it, what shape and colour it asked me to use, what volume it should be.
I got, in my opinion, the most successful work. 25 cm. small copy and analyse of the flower on the plane surface.
Here is a perspective in a natural sense. This is no longer a picture but a kind of relief. But the perspective of the flowers themselves is already taken into account in the size of the material. Interesting how I can do it bigger? Free standing object?
