This work is made from newspapers. The choice of this material was initially due to circumstances (there was a terrible lockdown and I did not have the opportunity to buy art materials for work), but at the moment the meaning has changed. By painting over the news and accumulating newspapers in one large colourful field, I create my interpretation of past events. My idea and desire is to engage the viewer through aesthetics and then present the process of re-evaluating what we consume.

The work is made in the form of a triptych - this is a traditional composition for icons, where John the Prelate, Christ and the Virgin Mary are depicted. Such a reference is, of course, made in connection with my decaying culture.
The change in color from one side to the other is an interpretation of the point of view and the involvement of the viewer on a physical level.

The process of creation is the long and careful painting over of each sheet of the newspaper and attaching it in an aesthetic form to the canvas.

Because the paper is wet, it is not always laid out in an airy form, sometimes it crumples and sticks together, so you have to redo it.
The reason why I continue to do this is, firstly, I would like to change something in the minds of people, ask them to start seeing the world more widely, appreciate it and be tolerant, search for the truth and many opinions, and secondly, I am being followed by colours in my body, I have a physiological need to express them out.
Recycling newspapers is also an environmental message. Clean up, and think what you consume, the environment depends on you, and not on someone else.
At the same time, ecology is considered here in the aspect of not only the physical cleansing of one's house, street, or planet, but it is also the cleansing of one's mind, maintaining a healthy environment in it.
The main aspects that stand out to me are communication with the viewer, colour and materiality, the ecology of the mind, the justification of war, critical thinking, the process of creation (work), challenge (contraposition of the rubbish to high intelligence).
