What are your expectations of level 3 study?
Now, having reached the level of HE6, I understand that any planning is pointless. From the very first year of my studies - I plan one thing, then at the end of the course, I understand that I came to a completely different point. Last year, I planned to explore my newfound synaesthesia, but a war broke out and there was an incredible assessment of everything. Therefore, I will outline the boundaries of my plan for this course superficially.
1 For me, now it seems important to understand and accept what is my method of creating art and for what.
2 With the attack of my country (Russia) on Ukraine (where I have a lot of friends), as well as with the justification of this attack by some of my acquaintances, I want to enter a dialogue with them. I want to start talking to people who support aggression and war. I want to give them an opportunity to look at alternative methods of life (without killing and violence) to ordinary people in a language they can understand. I understand that without their will they will not look at anything, so ideally my dream is to develop something that will motivate them to be interested in art and other points of view.
3 I want to find a balance between the commercial side of the art business and "art for art's sake". Because without the sale of works, or another source of income, I will not be able to pay for my ideas, projects, and studies at the Institute. At the same time, my previous experience with galleries turned out to be very deplorable and I don’t want to go back there at all.
4 One of the expected is the creation of a "big" project. Here I mean either attracting people (social project) or creating a public art space/object...
5 And finally, I would like to formulate a concept that unites all my ideas. Put everything in order and highlight the most important. Idea/research with which I will continue to work for several years.
What you’re bringing to the course unit
I bring with me my newly discovered synaesthesia. The idea is to be eco-friendly and not to produce more waste, but to recycle it. I take with me a positive attitude toward life, beauty, and aesthetics. I also don't want to forget the bad experience, but the experience of working with galleries. It is worth noting some of my essays where I talk about esthetics, war, responsibility, the pursuit of knowledge, and some more that I may be able to use as support for my practice.
Managing your time
I expect to complete this course in one year. This is an approximate plan:

Identifying resources
I work in a small but cozy studio.

One room for "building"

and the other for "painting" art objects.

Unfortunately, we had to abandon the living room and make a painting room where I can separate dirty work from the other rooms. This is a new room and it's still not fully set up, I need to think of something to protect the floor and other surfaces.

In addition, I have a place to store working materials that I collect from other workshops,

there is also a garage where I have to store my sculptures and some works that I don’t want to destroy.

In general, my husband tells me why he should go to galleries when he lives in one. Indeed, my art lives with me and live with it.
I like to see my work in everyday life, to see how it changes with the light or new political circumstances…
Saying hello to your fellow students and tutor
I have already met my new group at level 3, some of these guys from the previous level I already knew so I hope it will be a productive communication.
I also visit the OCA Photography Club which provokes me to experiment with photos and videos and hope that in the future we will be able to collaborate more together.
After meeting with my tutor, I understood how to separate the two courses and I'm excited to begin my creative and hopefully fruitful journey.
