Framing the Critical Review

For many years I thought it was okay to see glowing halos around people, or colourful extravaganzas during sex. Many acute and important events in my life were accompanied by flashes of colour. This colour was in time and space.

Due to my artistic practice, I learned about synesthesia and my understanding of colour.

Synaesthesia - a condition in which someone experiences things through their senses in an unusual way, for example by experiencing a colour as a sound, or a number as a position in space. (Cambridge Dictionary At: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/synaesthesia (Accessed 07.04.2021)

History knows many examples of famous creative people who were Synesthetes. Vincent Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, Vladimir Nabokov and other famous people. They reacted and perceived the world around us in a complex way, through a combination of colours, tastes, and various other sensations. How did famous synesthetes see this world, and what visualization tools did they use?

I would like to understand if it is possible to develop this perception more. And how can I express my sensations in the physical world?

Association of the German Synaesthesia Society (DSG) supporters such a people and spread information about this phenomena. This topic is relevant for modern society because, firstly, early detection of such talents in children will allow them to develop and not injure their psyche. And secondly, the spread of such practices through art will allow people to perceive the world deeper, or see events through a comprehensive assessment of colour, time and space.
