I actively participate in HE6 regular meetings with my peers, which occur every two weeks. During these sessions, we present our artworks and provide constructive feedback to one another.
Recently, I shared my latest works involving scratched letters combined with painting. The feedback I received was both thrilling and insightful. My peers found the works intriguing and said they commanded attention. They also expressed interest in hearing more Russian voices, not just Ukrainian ones, within the context of art. This kind of dialogue has been incredibly helpful in shaping my ideas and refining my approach.
In addition to these sessions, I occasionally take part in the Photography Social Club, an artist-led event organized by OCA. Even when I cannot attend the meetings live, I make it a point to listen to the recordings. These discussions offer valuable insights into how my fellow students reflect on artworks and explore the questions that resonate with them. Engaging with these reflections has been an enriching experience, broadening my perspective and helping me understand diverse artistic processes.
However, I find that the online nature of the course and its meetings presents limitations in terms of networking. While these interactions are meaningful, they do not fully integrate me into the European art community. To address this, I am now focusing on finding a university where I can pursue a master’s degree in a physical setting, ideally within Europe. I believe that transitioning to an on-campus environment will provide me with deeper connections, both with peers and the broader art scene, and allow me to build a stronger network as I continue to grow as an artist.
