I started these experiments before I read this task. I was curious to see where borders of colours begin and end. And as I described earlier, for me the sculpture is very figurative. When something appears that a person can associate with, then there is no way to focus only on the analysis of colour. I tried different shapes - a simple Matryoshka form, an abstract combination of materials, small spots of paint, and all these shapes distract from immersion in colour.
I made some sketches
I love the idea of taking the rhythm out of the canvas. Perhaps it would support the colour itself. But I am afraid that then, we will begin to discuss the difference between painting and sculpture, small and large colour spots, the rhythm of forms. And the main focus will no longer be on the pure experience of colour.
The form with holes can exist, where space is integrated into the colour, the room becomes part of the work.
Colour unites the shape. Therefore, work in light green colour can have a right to existence.
According to my feelings, I need volume and space. These works are too small, and of course, the colour needs to be worked out further.
To work with colour, I have already ordered a spray paint machine, this will allow me to make a softer change to the colours.
