In my artistic practice, I continue to explore the relationship between synesthesia and our general perception of colour and life events.
After unsuccessful experiments with different shapes and colours, I realized this was a mistake.
One idea and one representation method but then artworks are looking the same. I mean texture. It is so feminine, flowery and delicate. On the one hand, I agree with this, art can look feminine, but on the other hand, such loveliness smacks a little of kitsch. Although, kitsch could be if the shades were open and flashy. In my case, the colours are always complex and rich.

Well, if this is not kitsch - how to go deeper?
And then, miraculously, I began to associate the colour spot on the wall with the objects around ... And the whole process began to work and make sense. It turns out that my colour impressions can take shape through to materials and structures.
For example, in this work (not finished) Homeland, I translate the feelings and memories of the place into wood, paper and other elements.
During the construction of the dome, I felt like the whole idea of religion in Russia has been broken for a long time. Faith remains, but the structure and attitude became somehow staggering, not stable.
On the reverse side of the second object - wallpaper is pasted in several layers, and then plaster. This is what happened to churches during the Bolshevik period. The buildings were converted into offices and production facilities. All the decoration of the cathedrals was looted or destroyed. Until now, restoration work of old churches are taking place in Moscow, and it’s scary to imagine what is happening in the regions.
This is my first work in such proportions. I keep listening to the composition... and trying to understand how to read this size. I'm afraid to overload the piece with ideas. Therefore, the work continues for about two months.
In addition, I experimented with translating my work into 3D digital models. NFT?!
Creating an augmented reality as my Public Sculpture was a good idea, but I would need to have a proper computer (mine didn't survive all these heavy programs for the creation of 3D models). But the more I engaged in this process, the more I understood - this is not me. I need to saw, cut, screw, paint, live this physical world in physical actions.
But when I saw a very primitive, in technical terms, result, it struck me. Somehow it was strange to see my work on the computer. An incredibly physical object has become part of another world... Since all the study and execution in min. five programs (that were completely new to me) was rather dreary but not difficult, I realized that everything can be learned.
Or you can create an idea and give it to a specialist for technical implementation - just like a sculptor gives a bronze project to a foundry.
In parallel, this is the first time I am planning two exhibitions on such a professional scale. My works have been selected for the Affordable Art Fair in Brussels, so now I'm organising the transportation and packaging of my dimensional works.
Also, the preparation of the concept of the exhibition in Berlin, texts, logistics and the final selection of works are underway.
Excited!
