Practice Plan

Reflection on Current Practice

My artistic journey continues to revolve around exploring the interplay between materiality, intuition, and emotional resonance. Building on my ongoing research, my work has increasingly centered on translating external forces—such as media, social constructs, and material culture—into visceral, internal reflections expressed through art.

My recent exploration of the essay theme, From Affect to Intuition: Exploring the Translation Between External Forces and Internal Reflections Through Art, frames my current practice and research direction.

Through a combination of intuitive processes and material experimentation, my works juxtapose fragile, ephemeral elements with rough, resilient forms, highlighting the tension between temporality and permanence.

Research Findings and Focus

Theoretical Framework:

My practice is informed by affect theory and the concept of intuition as an emotional, unconscious response to external forces. This research inspires my exploration of materials and processes that provoke both tension and resonance.

Material Connections:

I continue to examine how different materials—from newspapers and debris to ceramics and polymer clay—embody fragility, resilience, and transformation. The act of assembling, layering, and reconfiguring these materials reflects my interest in translating external chaos into internal balance.

Community and Engagement:

I aim to extend my research beyond the studio, fostering connections between art and the broader community through accessible, inclusive projects.

Goals for the Future

1. Large-Scale Installation

I want to realize a large-scale installation that embodies the themes of my essay. This work will combine visceral materiality with immersive spatial dynamics, engaging viewers emotionally and physically.

2. Material Exploration

Ceramics and Polymer Clay: Further experimentation with these materials, exploring their capacity to evoke emotional and tactile responses.

Drawing: Deepening my practice of traditional abstraction, emphasizing lines and marks as intuitive expressions of affect and resonance.

Sculptural Assemblages: Continuing to integrate materials like newspapers and wood to reflect on temporality, fragility, and permanence.

3. Community Engagement

Art Theory Lectures: Launching a series of free art theory lectures in my local community to foster accessibility and cultural exchange.

Restaurant Collaborations:

Designing the interior for a local restaurant and curating exhibitions of regional artists in the space, incorporating dialogue with an invited art curator.

Creating a multi-sensorial experience in collaboration with another restaurant, blending food and art to explore synesthesia and immersive, tactile engagement.

Professional Development

Upcoming Exhibitions:

February 2025: Group exhibition at Art Karlsruhe, Germany.

March 2025: Participation in a group show at Zurich, Switzerland.

March 2025: Ongoing preparation for an exhibition at a Berlin hotel, where I will carefully select, describe, and position works across one level of the space.

Future Projects: Develop proposals for additional exhibitions, with a focus on integrating my research themes into cohesive, impactful presentations.

Holistic Goals

Language Certification: Preparing for the C1 German exam to strengthen my professional and academic opportunities in Germany.

February 2025: Master's Degree: Researching programs and universities that align with my artistic and research interests, aiming to further refine my practice and theoretical foundation.
