Wentworth used a bookmark with sweets bookmarks, but in my version, it's a bible. It seemed to me so ambiguous - to constantly bookmark the Bible, try to live correctly and try to remember and observe everything, but in fact, you use chocolate more than needed, which already speaks of excesses and abuses.
I used only Russian sweets as it is also a bit symbolic for me as in Germany it is not the simple thing to buy real Russian sweets. I call it "from Adam" this I think is clear... "to Alyonka" - this is the most popular candy which produced since 1965 and has a specific creamy taste. It is the name of a girl, so here from Adam, from beginning to woman and chocolate, pleasure, sin ;) or to purity, enjoyment, youth and knowledge.
The main question that stood before me was that it is a copy and not an innovative approach. But since, deeply analyzing the issue of the original, copies and simulacra on the course on understanding visual culture, I realized that any copy is a new interpretation and a new vision. Therefore, I believe that my work is significantly different from the similar work of Wentworth and has the right to independent existence and evaluation.
