Reflection. Keep learning from it

What I learned from Project 3 is that oil painting is incredibly challenging, but I’m really enjoying it. I’ve also realised that I need to make pre-sketches because, for me, it doesn’t work to simply express feelings and alter the outcome as I do in my sculptures. The ideas I want to explore further include experimenting with epoxy resin, creating outdoor sculptures, making drawings, experimenting with photography, working on a few pieces using cement, and thinking about how to cast my paper works. Additionally, I want to launch theory courses and research on violence.

These strategies will help me experiment with the durability of my works. Working with classical media such as painting and drawing could also provide opportunities to earn money and fund my future projects.

Regarding documentation, I recognized the importance of videos and photos a long time ago. Here are some working, unfinished videos for Temporary Permanence.

The challenge now is deciding where and how to present them. Currently, Instagram is my main platform for communicating with viewers, which is why the videos are vertical and no longer than 30 seconds or 3 minutes—the most popular lengths on social media.

As I prepare for my next exhibition, I’ve printed a catalogue of the installation since no videos will be shown during the show, as the gallery cannot provide that option. I understand that each event or presentation method requires an adaptation of materials, and I’m actively addressing this in my work.
