SC5STP - Sculpture 2: Studio Practice. Learning Outcomes
LO1 develop a body of work that is rigorous in its engagement with conceptual and practical skills
I read a lot and studied the conceptual background of globalization, politics and the position of the artist in modern society in general. At the same time, I remained with my interests and problems that manifested in such works as Sound of loneliness and political practice.
LO2 demonstrate how research has informed your practice
In this part, I started to analyze third-party areas - food, theatre, opera ... It helps to discard the unnecessary and to formulate what is really important in my work. As a result, I do not agree with my tutor's opinion that I am scattered and cannot articulate my interests. Even if today I can't formulate why all this is, it’s through my artistic practice I try to understand it.
LO3 evidence your engagement with experimentation through your practice
My most exciting experiments in this part were - working with sound
I experimented with the representation of work in destroyed Ukraine.
Finally, I realized the idea with theatrical scenery.
LO4 situate, reflect and critique on the work and practices of sculptors and reflect on your own learning
Unfortunately, this was the most critical part of my practice, read my note in "My Practice 3" where I had to rethink my entire work process.
