Reflection on Tutor Report 1

“Your work holds sophistication as well as quality processes and outcomes. You have been inventive and creative with personal interpretations. This can develop into a strong voice. Well done on doing so much work and engaging into materially, surface manipulation and physical large works with scale.” (OCA Tutor)

« it’s great to see you not being precious and tentative with your work.” (OCA Tutor)

Actually, I do. But with time I realised that if it is gone then gone. I am a creator – I can recreate it again.

« It would be useful for you to fully evaluate your work, the strengths, weaknesses and what to take forward from all the work you have done. There could also be more explanation of each piece from works 1-5 so we know the contexts behind the work.» (OCA Tutor)

Yes, I always don't have enough time to describe works. I already tried to change something. It's just that if I have an hour, I'll work better in my studio, experiment, paint, build, create, and after that, the hour turns into five and I have to sleep. It's annoying, of course, but you have to eat and sleep somehow. The description of the process is my weak point.

« There is no sketchbook so try and keep a visual log of your work. This could be notes, plans,

drawings and responses to what you have done.» (OCA Tutor)

My entire studio is sketches and thoughts. Sometimes it can be a piece of wood that will be the starting point for big work. But I will try to photograph these details more.

« Continue to work large because this suits the physical approach to your work.» (OCA Tutor)
