At this point, I was already deeply in the process of colour fieldwork but I was curious what exactly wrong with the sculpture.
And my answer is a form. In the painting, all recognisable objects were disturbing from pure colour. In the sculpture - it is the same. All shapes and forms human tend to relate to something which they know.
But the process of work and the result is very exciting for me.
The resulting forms are light and durable. There is a feeling that life is inside of this forms.
When I used paper against dry clay overall feeling was lost.
The viewer anyway doesn't suppose to touch the sculpture but somehow for me, it is not right that it is so heavy.
I need to work further in order to understand if I can use freestanding objects. I have one idea - it is like the sculptures of Richard Serra but fully with my volumetric colour and the viewer would need to go through!
