My Routine in Working
I’m deeply passionate about my art and fully immersed in it—I’d even say I’m a work addict, but in the best way. I live for my art, and it brings me immense joy and fulfillment every day. My routine starts with breakfast with my family, followed by a walk with my dog, during which I listen to an audiobook. Around 10 a.m., I settle into my studio with a cup of coffee and start working. This routine doesn’t change much, even on weekends, because I genuinely love what I do.
Conditions Most Conducive to Working
The most productive conditions for me are when I have no external commitments—no plans, appointments, or visitors. My ideal working day is one where I can spend the whole day alone, fully immersed in my thoughts and ideas, without interruptions. Having that uninterrupted time to myself allows me to focus deeply and stay connected to my artistic flow.
Artistic Practice as a Continuous Process
I view my artistic practice as an ongoing process that reflects my life experiences and the events happening around me. If one idea reaches its conclusion, it naturally connects to the next. My work is a constant flow—there’s no real stop or break in my creative journey. This continuity keeps my process fluid and exciting.
I also love engaging with others about my work. I regularly host visitors in my studio, discuss my projects with peers at university, and share my work with artist friends who provide valuable feedback. I’m always open to critique, as it helps me grow and improve.
Productivity and Balance
My most productive hours are in the mornings and the early part of the day. By evening, I shift my focus toward balance and well-being. I regularly exercise, which helps me stay in a good mood and maintain my energy levels. I also spend time with friends, go out, or do something completely separate from art. Having a structured routine keeps me productive and focused, and I thrive on planning—I currently have my schedule mapped out until the summer 2025!
Engaging Beyond Art
While art is central to my life, I enjoy exploring other areas. I frequently attend art events, exhibitions, theatre, and opera, often travelling to different cities and countries for inspiration—Germany’s location makes this very accessible. But I don’t limit myself to art alone. I’m also interested in politics, listen closely to friends with completely different passions (like horses, fine dining or property investment), and embrace learning about new cultures and languages. These diverse experiences bring fresh ideas and perspectives into my life and work.
