Writing an artists’ statement

The most exciting thing for me is emotional communication through colour and material. This way of creating sensations takes precedence over language because it is at the sensory level.

From childhood, I experienced strong emotions always combined with colour impressions. Sensations were so strong that I had to recreate this inner experience. The feeling of this colour is real and tangible so that my material body becomes a combination of hues. It is called synaesthesia. Thus, I began to think that through the colour my feelings and thoughts become material because I experience it physically. But from what material could this idea be embodied?

The oldest way of recording emotion is writing. Through dye on the paper, we convey information. So, I gave the colour the main role of the communicator, and paper became a body of it.

With the help of sounds, smells, videos, I create an image, an atmosphere in which the viewer can be on his own. My works and installations are about a person, his inner world. Walking by or diving in the colourful gaps, one can feel the passage of time through the distance between the beginning of the colour and its depth.

These volumetric pictorial works are an opportunity to perceive events, feelings and emotions through a complex perception of colour, space and time and form your own conclusions about the world around you.
