These two months of quarantine time. You can go out only for good reasons. All external communication takes place online. Since people are limited, locked in their apartments the only window to the world is a screen of the TV, computer, tablet and Smartphone. This is how we perceive the “new” world. Skype meetings, Zoom concerts, Google tutorials.

Near my house is a church. Throughout this time, it remains closed. Online broadcast of church services on TV has become something similar to all other programs, advertisements, news, films. This is like - “You are delivered to the advertiser who is the customer”. Richard Serra, Television Delivers People, 1973. A person does not go to church, but we were delivered to the church. And if we change this process?

Now the praying people are turned to us on the screens it’s like an Instagram post - the blogger made a video or went online, and we watched it. Who is a customer now?

The ringing bells support the silence of the praying people and refer to the ringing call for the online meeting. Silhouettes of faces on the iPads are complemented by the structure of the easels so the whole shape looks like a human body or like a crucifix.

Exposition: During three minutes of the bell sound, the broadcast starts on all iPads with volunteers who will pray during this time from their apartment. The number of screens and easels depends on how many people are participating in this installation.
